Yahoo Controlled By Hollywood - OMG!

Has anyone seen the new OMG! link on the Yahoo! main search engine page? I just saw it today for the first time and it is a waste of internet webspace. The site is like a mini magazine or something. Absolutely crazy to spend your time looking through the pages of information. You can find all of the same information in the supermarket tabloids, radio and newspapers.

Anyone have opinions?

yes you have to pay for the magazines in supermarket and yahoo is giving it free. they have a lot of celebrity images I have seen. they have started not a mini but a mega magazine.

Yahoo has a lot of unnecessary stuff in its website, i lose the motivation to use their search engine.

I would just say that this is part of marketing strategy, get users to come to your site for one reason or the other, and gossip and fashion rules all over...
it would be incorrect to assume that hollywood rules though ...
