Default Are People Better than Algorithms?

Well world famous Jason Calacanis thinks they are. That's why he's come up with the idea for a people powered version of Google and Yahoo!. Mahalo.com is just starting out, but it is supposed to eliminate all the irrelevant search results you get with Google and Yahoo. Anybody think this is going to work? I think it's a wonderful idea and wish I had some of the funding this guy can come up with just to start a few websites based on my ideas.

Check out the article that's just come out about this latest venture for Mr. Calcanis.

Smile great

Looks great. There should be someone in this world to change the traditional ways and to challenge the powers. But, the problem is it needs some time to make people change from the most used types

That's ok, it also will take some time for these people to find all the answers to all the popular questions.

I think it'll be a difficult task bcoz searching for trillions of sites that are changing and been added everyday is a huge task. I think now its time to use some AI in these algorithms.

There is nothing impossible. My judgment is so simple. Before this, a computer is a huge hardware/ software which only fit in one room and has limited functions. But now, computer is much smaller and multi tasking.
Why? Because people always think forward not backward

Wow, without using algorithms I think that would take a long time for the search results to be compiled. Some more the web content is ever changing, that means you will need manpower to work round the clock. I don't think that's a good idea.

I think it's a great idea. That way we could obtain even more accurate search results. Everyone is hoping that is possible some day.

People are the best. But its difficult to do it practically by using people. Algorithm should be there. Even Google has hired people to monitor their search results. They are knows as "internet accessors".
