No, since forums use up a lot of gig. Why would you want a free service for a forum? Surely you'd want professional services that dont' have competing ads or subdomains on them?

Have you tried doing a search for such services?

That would require guaranteed participation unless someone wanted to front the cash I would have a hard time justifying it. I have seen such services as low as $5 a month though. I do have ad sharing for the forum I use now and ad sharing for those who wish to contribute as well. It also counts as expierence but it doesn't generate $5 a month most months by any means.

Pl. Don't think about the word FREE in online world. Everyone is doing business here. you,me this site, Google and many others. If you can't contribute to a forum you are not allowed to place free ads on any forums. Be ready to pay a price for the service you desire.

just because it doesn't make sense doesn't mean it isn't out there. I don't really have the participation that is needed to pay the cash for a board. maybe if there is a way for my project to get backing either in spirit or with cash backing. I have my music project set up with an add sharing board so that you can get some ad views for participation (plus I will link to someone else s documentation where they get 100% of the views) and I have a really neat setup with it now. this is the right side of it

google ads (1 pageview per each)
link exchange (.7 pageview per click)
ad sharing board (50% of page views)

in the middle it it

google ads (1 pageview)
picture (1 pageview per click and allows others to use the picture)
content
google ads (1 pageview)

I would certainly be open to ideas on a more effective setup and by all means if you are getting a referral let me know how you would set it up. It's the link below it could certainly use some work though.

There are free forum hosts out there but they are free because they put adds on your site and restrictions on your bandwidth. A simple google search for "free forum hosting" should give plenty of info to go on. Keep in mind this would mean your google ads would be competing with their ads. Now if they're using Google adsense as well, I don't think you can have two adsense accounts running on the same page and you would have to use some other form of add.

A good host (not a bulk host) costs as little as $15 a month for a package that you could host a decent forum on. That's not much for a hobby website depending where you live.

I have seen the $5 sites and have put it on my wish list but I can't justify it right now because I am not working and because I really do no have any participation. Hopefully the job picture starts to turn around pretty soon.

Pl. let me know whether that $5 you are discussing about is for forum hosting cost or anything else?

I don't recall seems though that the prices keep going down that you can get a number of services for that $5, If I can do python I can probily do wiki's online games exc.. I am not employed though (or I am barely employed) so I am not worrying about such stuff.
