It is very easy for you to optimize a single keyword, Just target keyword on each page of website & applying all methods regarding On site SEO & after On Site SEO start Off Site SEO & use only that single keyword in whole campaigning.

In my opinion you should choose a low competitor keyword for your website. Then choose single keyword.
