It is a vague question and you will become different answers for it. I have applied both PHP and ASP and they have their own sets of rewards and disfavors.

ASP is Microsoft is basically a thing. Non-Microsoft servers do not run it ,It's just words to them. PHP can also do any server, including Microsoft servers. The CGI-most "popular"language is PHP. It uses the personal and enterprises. Amateurs and business owners alike. It's easy to learn, flexible, fast. Extended high.

I advocate PHP. In my sentiment, it is much easier to realize. The syntax is much cleaner and tighter creating it much easier to debug and realize. Not to mention that PHP can run on any OS, while the ASP is specified to Windows servers.

That is very informative artical. ASP is basically a Microsoft thing. It is much easier to understand. The syntax is much cleaner and tighter making it much easier to debug and understand. PHP is a open source nature means that anyone can add features as they come across the need Ease of Learning PHP is a much friendlier.

Anyway, I recommend PHP. In my opinion, it is much easier to understand. The syntax is much cleaner and tighter making it much easier to debug and understand. Not to mention that PHP can run on any OS, while the ASP is limited to Windows servers.

It is much easier to become a job in a Microsoft shop if you know Microsoft technologies. But recognizing just ASP or just PHP won't become you a job. You too need SQL, Javascript, HTML and CSS, AJAX, etc.
