PHP has a much wider range of integrated features and a less verbose syntax, which makes development of the language much faster. Other functions in PHP also simplify and accelerate the development of the project. ASP is a language very close - which could be effective methods in PHP is quite useless in ASP. Easy Learning FSA more rigid structure and ways of doing things long handed can be intimidating for a beginner.

ASP stands for Active Server Pages and PHP useful for Personal Home Pages and PHP is known as Hypertext Preprocessor. ASP is not an undemanding program that can be picked up from scratch easily; PHP is the developer’s instrument that has gained the most respect amongst Web gurus and enthusiast.

I recommend that instead of considering ASP.net PHP, since it proved to be relatively easy to ASP.net and have a better support. In addition, the freely available PHP, which is compatible with Linux and Windows, you can choose a hosting platform for hosting your PHP site. But if you decide to choose PHP, Linux hosting platform would be a better idea.

ASP is basically a Microsoft thing.PHP runs on any server that can do even CGI which includes Microsoft servers.PHP is cheaper to implement that ASP.It’s more popular than ASP, Cold Fusion, Perl, or any other web programming language.ASP is the short term for Active Server Pages, a type of program that works with Microsoft alongside IIS or Internet Information Server.PHP programs can also run in Windows, Solaris, Unix and Linux while ASP can only work with Window-based platforms.

Good piece of writing plus I wholly have the same opinion with you that PHP is additional popular as it is open foundation, easy to learn, protected, fast, and reliable and being widely used now-a-days for web maturity

Both language has it's own importance, generally it depends on the people interests and the language they are comfortable with. In some cases ASP is good whereas in some terms PHP is good, but still according to my view PHP is quite easy to learn compared to ASP as it is an open source language.
