Hi Everybody,
There are a lot of times when I just want a list of things that I can do to help me in any area. Something I can scan and look at. Well here is one of those lists. Very easy to scan and get what you need. If these are new to you then you can search them online and find out more on how to apply it to your site or products. Hope it helps...
So without any further ado...Here are 12
SEO Tips
1) Add keywords/phrases in the HTML title tag.
2) Make sure you have good linking structure. A good strategy is to have one link for about every 120 words, this one tip gives me under a 30% bounce rate.
3) Insert keywords/phrases in the HTML body copy. I know keyword density is something we don't pay a lot of attention to these days, but you should keep it around 1-3% in your articles.
4) Purchase quality web hosting. This is a lot of times overlooked, and it plays a part when you have more than one website you are promoting or hosting. The more you do online the less you want to share your hosting with others. If someone spams their accounts it could effect your hosting.
5) Get rid of plugins and other things that hurt your loading speed. You want to have a fast loading web site. You can go to Google Analytics to check your loading speed or even find free programs online that show you the loading speed.
6) Keywords/phrases in bold typeface. Think of it this way. When you highlight underline and
<h1> or <h2>
your keywords, it highlights them with the spiders. You should always start with
<h1>
and work your way down. Don't worry about going below a
<h3>
typeface.
7) Affix keywords/phrases in header tags. Again pay attention to these things as you create your pages and posts.
8) Use quality web site links. I know it seems counterproductive to send someone to a site that might be better than your own. But in all reality it builds credibility for you and in Goggles eyes. I always link to solid sites in almost every post or page I create. At least once.
9) Link viral freebies to other sites. Our if you build affiliate sites link to those free give-aways. Not only does the link help you with bounce rate, which does affect the way your site is seen by Google, but it also allows you to build lists.
10) Add keyword/phrase image names. I have at least one image with keyword phrase in every post...don't blow this off.
11) Use quality internal linking. I try to keep this to one link to every 120 words. It really helps.
12) Insert keyword/phrases image alts. This goes along with #10, and make sure you place the same keyword in the alt as you do the title. If you have more than one image in a post, then use other keywords you are going after.
