Default How do you search

What all are the algorithms you use to search on google? Do you have any improved way to search on google to get more specific results?

I personally have found that you have to be extremely careful while searching google and other search engines. Use the primary words you are searching for. In order of importance. For example if you are searching for Children's DVDs, you would first type in DVD because you HAVE to find a site listing DVDs, and then type in your secondary word children. No punctuation or any other words is necessary. If it is an exact phrase, like "New Jersey" I would type it exactly like that including the parentheses. Then type your other words before or after depending on what is most important. I hope this helps.

Do you have much luck with + and -? I haven't had luck with those in years... since back when excite.com was a popular search engine and lycos.com.

The problem in using + and - is we get a huge result. But mainly I look for common keywords. So results I get are most probably specific

Use specific and long keywords. This way you filter all unwanted results that have very little or nothing in common with your query

I have no algorithm so far. But at first I always try to put really specific keyword, which then the listing results will be much relevant.

My experience proves that Google is the best search engine which always provides me the best result searching.

Well I would try with different keyword combination to get the best results. Sometimes changing different search engine will help to improve on the search. Different search engine will give different results although the keyword is the same.

Just think of a good keyword related to what you are searching for and type in your queries. You can also try by reversing order of the keyword and most of the times the results can change.
