Time spent on backlinks

I'm starting to wonder if I spend enough time searching for backlinks for a site. I don't do it every day, about 3 times a week. I spend about an hour looking for backlinks on those days.

How much time do you spend on searching for backlinks?

general link submission takes a lot of time and almost receive approval for more than 3 months

I`m using some semi automated directory submission sites and it is a lot easier to get backlinks because I only need to enter the security code and hit the SUBMIT button to get my site submitted.

That's plenty of time needed to gain backlinks for your site. There's no actual number of hours spent.

It can certainly be worthwhile to improve your SERPs and traffic to your site.

there is no set of time to build a link as per mine always think like webmaster and grab link from anywhere you can get it.....

I do it everyday, and i think if your site is good,when people visit your site, they would bookmark your site,and recommed your site to others,i think backlinks is not a question.

It all depends on your niche and what has been working for you. Where do you get most of your traffic? For me personally it depends on the website, if it a blog with tons of keywords and content, those will be easier to rank keywords higher and increase your traffic from SERPS. If you have more of a static site you might want to get yourself one and do a little "link laundering" from a private blog or a blogspot page.

I wouldnt spend too much time on it if I was getting decent quality traffic from other sources.
