After you have created and uploaded your Google Sitemap all you need to do is be patient for about 24 Hours (sometimes less) until Google Crawls your web page. After Google Crawls your web page you will see a verify link next to your Sitemap name. Click the link and Google will instruct you to create a blank file and place it on your Web Page, Once you have done that Google will tell you any problems it encountered crawling your Page. Now fix the problems tell Google to recrawl your page and your are done

Thanks for the information on sitemep importance for site. Sitemap is really very helpful because google spider can crawl every pages from site at place.

Thanks for sharing. I've submitted my sitemap on google's webmaster, but I'm getting this error about priority. My index page is priority 1 and all other pages are priority 0.8. What seems to be the problem with my sitemap?

Thanks for sharing this excellent tip. I also used sitemap generator plug-in for wordpress before they included it in the software :-)

I don't know what could be the reason for priority. I always keep 1 and 0.5.

Among all those very important is the content and back links. Update daily or at least in a week, will be surprised to see the Google daily crawling. making good quality BL too helping it as a supporting factor and also for getting high PR , more traffic
