What really important is traffic. PR has a relationship to traffic. But PR is not the only factor effecting traffic. There are around 200 factors effecting SERP.

Google page Rank is useless, what is important is your search engine positions, google page rank wont get you traffic, it is still a small part of the optimization process but shouldnt be your goal, ranking high on positions is what will get you traffic

The Traffic based on many factor, niche, age, content, BL and its quality etc. So only enough PR will not give more traffic. But almost site having more than 5 PR having good traffic

If your site is famous then no need of PR but if your site not famous then you need PR.
