Default How to increase my pagerank?

There are some SEO techniques available to increase the page rank of my site. I need to follow some simple steps to cross the hurdle. Keyword is a key thing in terms of SEO. So I have to use keywords most of the times. Building and getting backlinks are really helpful to improve the page rank too. Other methods like submitting the website to the search engine directories or submitting articles can be applied. I must upgrade the content of my site too and I should update it regularly. I think if I follow these steps I can easily obtain a high page rank. I want to know is there any steps left?

Basically, page rank defines the quality the visitors get from the page. There is a large array of elements which is responsible for the web pages' quality weight. Some of the important elements are the domain names and URLs, the keywords, the meta data, the links structure, the page structure, the content, the usability, the accessibility and many more. The higher search engine rank will attract more visitors and generate more traffic for your web site.

Not really. You kind of nailed it.
You know that the Google PR can be increased especially with backlinks, that is lots of quality backlinks. The more, the higher your PR will be.
You shouldn't forget though that we are talking about the Toolbar PR, the one that is updated or exported a few times a year and which is quite inaccurate. It doesn't represent the true value of a page seen by Google.
The internal PR is the real deal (on a scale of 0-1), updated frequently (perhaps several times a week), but unfortunately is known only by Google...
But as I said, the Toolbar PR can be improved with a smart and well done backlink campaign.

AS you know Google update own page rank algorithm once in 3 months so we have only 3 chance in one year to increase page rank of our website. You should start to collect quality back links and more focus on theme based links.

As per my knowledge website page rank is directly connected with website backlinks and backlinks comes from quality work so I really like to suggest you to do forum posting and blog commenting. Because you can get quality backlinks from this technique and it will also useful to increase page rank.

This is beaten over and over, and how cares about PR, but if you want to have good PR get links from pages that have high PR, like 5 or higher, but be careful is you are using them with anchor text keywords.

For getting high page rank you have only one option that is getting more and more backlinks for your website. Backlinks are incoming links to a website or web page. The number of backlinks is one indication of the popularity or importance of that website or page (for example, this is used by Google to determine the Page Rank of a webpage).
