We have all come into contact with those annoying exit scripts on websites, you know the ones where you click to leave the page and they put up a message saying "wait" or "before you go" or something similar. Well although they are annoying and all I decided to track one down and install it on a splash page for a product that i sell about 10 units a month with the standard splash page. I did this last month and I am here to tell you that those annoying exit scripts work!
Not only did I sell 23 units this month (I usually do 8-12) but it was simple and I did not recieve any complaints, I was prepared for complaints. I am now wondering why I never did this before, actually I am kicking myself.
I was leery but I had to know first hand if this marketing trick worked, i have seen all my internet marketing buddies turning to them and praising them but I had to actually KNOW they worked before I brought it here to you guys. Well I am prepared to give exit splah scripts 2 big happy money in the bank thumbs ups.
