Commenting for blog traffic

Commenting must be done to drive traffic to our blogs. And a simple Google search can get us some niche related Blog/Sites. Do not care about the link type i.e. a dofollow or a nofollow, just comment. This is said to be a best way to get targeted visitors to our Blog. And do you also think this is effective?

Ya blog commenting is very much important and very effective to get traffic.

I would agree don't matter whether is no/do follow blog for both is helpful.
