Default Marketing Good Content

Writing good content is not enough. We need to market it as well. Otherwise there is little chance that readers will find it and you’ll have nothing to show for our efforts. Here are a few points on how to market content.

Reach Out to People – If you know you have created a great content, reach out to people and let them know. Contact them and let them know you have something great. Tweet it, and not just once. Email them, IM them, call, if you have to.

Time Your Launch – If you publish your great content when no one is around to see it, it is wasted and gets covered with other posts which are more recent when people login or access. Don’t publish at 8 pm Friday night. Avoid publishing right when festivities begin. Post at the beginning of a busy day.

Have a Promotion Plan – As soon as you build a great content, don’t rush over to the next project. Promote it. Have a plan for methodical promotion.

Post It Somewhere Else – Just don’t keep your great content to your site, spread it around. Even for great content you need to go to where your audience is.

Hello,

If you are part of the online marketing or content marketing industry you have undoubtably heard of Joe Pulizzi (@juntajoe) and his company the Content Marketing Institute (CMI). Joe has been a member of the content marketing community for over a decade, and has made it his mission to help brands create quality content and distribute that content through multiple online channels. This was my first time seeing Joe speak and he made it a great interactive experience, and was of course wearing his trademark Orange.

I enjoyed the history that Joe shared with the audience as well as his practical tactical tips that can be implemented by an organization of any size. However, I think the true takeaway is determining a way to differentiate yourself from your peers and your competition.

Thanks

You are very right writing good contents is not enough you need to have good marketing skills to marketing them and get good response. Similarly marketing of good contents can be done through different ways like article marketing, blog posting and later on sharing on social media websites to get good response in term of traffic.
