Indexing Different Search Engines

I am completely aware about the importance of indexing, and when I have launched my site at that time I have tried to index it on Google, Yahoo, and MSN. It is also to be noted that at that time I was also doing some research on the different search engines, and also on its indexation. At that time I came to know about thousands of different search engines. So, I came to the conclusion that it would always be better for a site just to be listed in different search engines. For my case the reliability of the different search engines is also a big question. So, I just want to know whether it is ok to index the site only on Google, Yahoo and MSN.

Well all Search engine has its own algorithm, in order to to be indexed you have to comply on this algorithms.

It is perfectely ok if you submit only on Google, Yahoo and MSN because most of the search engines collects database from these three. SO feel comfortable after submitting to those three.
