Default The problem seen on most blogs

The Internet's blog sites have become overgrown with a variety of unpleasant content, including porn, offensive language, hate posting, and malware, a new threat analysis has suggested.

According to Scansafe's Monthly Global Threat Report for March 2007, a surprisingly high percentage of the Internet's blog sites-- up to 80 percent-- contain "offensive" content, with six percent hosting active malware.

The figures were gleaned from an analysis of real-time traffic passing through the company corporate proxying service, designed to filter out the worst content. A total of 614 sites were chosen at random from sites reckoned to have blogging as a significant activity.

And people wonder why we have to use parental controls for our children when they are doing school research on a computer. It is terrible that the world has come to this.

We can't do a stop to that. I have read from somewhere that , most of the people wandering through xxx sites are hackers also. So, they will not stop in one thing. Best thing is don't go near to that kind of sites. Because, if you go , you may be hacked

You are absolutely right that we cannot put a stop to these sites. You are also right that there are many hackers involved and spyware, adware, wormes and etc too. But, you cannot always avoid these sites. The people who run these sites have discovered ways to get into the top of the search results and mask their primary objective. There have been times that I have seen students in school put in a totally innocent search query and return with some wild XXX sites that do not even look like XXX sites until you click on the link. It's not really fair to our children that they should be exposed to these things by doing what they are supposed to do in school and at home.

Some people's life getting miserable while some others getting money. You can use it in a positive way like for example, dating sites. They are the top sites now.

Yes, it's very sad to see this type of trend developing. The internet are supposed to be a source of information and I feel that it has been manipulated by certain people for their own gain. To me, that's a sabotage.

I really hate it when I come across porn or anti racial websites. These days it's really sick to see all these happening and i think the world wide web should come up with rules to totally ban these sites.

All parents should play their role to ensure their kids not surf these sites. I believe that there are many software available over the internet to block the sites.
