I think google video is gone since they bought utude and they stopped paying for the channels in google it is just old documention that is still around that said you can put advertisments on the page that you have embeded your video in so there is still some value to lets say uploading documentation and then embedding it into your page it is just that someone else might use it or find it without you getting a pageview... It is less valuable as content than text for sure unless it works with what drives traffic to your site.
